Making yet ANOTHER platform

I decided that getting ice sucked. So I knew I needed an Engel/ARB style freezer. Sigh. They are major bank, so I waited around and scourced CL until I found a used one. And it is AWESOME. Anyway, to make a good mount for it, I decided to take out the middle row of seats (the flip down ones) and build another platform for more stuff, and to make storage under it, as well as have a place to mount the fridge. These are sequential pictures of that project. Enjoy!

This next one shows the upper deck. And those weird screws are what I used to make the second tier detachable.

This next one actually shows the (uncarpeted) platform well. Notice the second deck comes off (held on with bolts and wingnuts from the bottom) and how I have that little "hatch." The hatch is for shoes. One of the issues with getting in and out of the truck is always dirty shoes, so I use that to put them under the platform (in an IKEA bin, of course) to keep the truck cleaner inside.

This next one shows the ABS/PVE tube I mounted to hold a tripod. You can slide it right in there from the side. This also only shows the lower deck of the platform. There are two decks.

Lastly, here is a picture of the least helpful cat of all time, Cash, looking on. I'd like to say he helped on this project, but he really didn't. As is the case with most cats, I did all the work, and he lounged and made me feed him a lot.
