Yosemite Trip - April 2006

In April 2006, my parents came out and we all trekked to Yosemite to my Aunt's house. She owns a house INSIDE the park, which is extra cool. Anyway, there was a ton of snow, and we decided that the suburban was just the right vehicle. It was.

Carried 5 of us, all our gear, and a week's worth of gorceries without incident. Here are a couple shots of it in Badger Pass. We drove up to go snowshoeing. It was late in the year, though they still had a TON of snow. The banks are over 20 feet tall in places!

Here's me using the liftgate as a portable "fix the snowshoes to fit properly" workshop.

You can see my mother (5"3") off to the right.... You can also see the snow around the steering arm where I decided it would be fun to smash through some snowdrifts. :) My mother and my aunt were yelling at me "you'll get stuck!" but before they even really finished saying it, we were already through. Momentum and traction are powerful things. :)
